Promotion Video (Dedicate to Mother's Day)

Synopsis
The story revolves around a beautiful single mother named Umi (Suzuki) who has worked hard to raise her son Daichi (Yamada) by herself. Daichi has been raised as the perfect obedient son who loves his mother, though his character is described as having a “neo mother complex.” He is always aiming to achieve top results in school to please his mother, and whenever a man tries to approach her, Daichi quickly rejects them.
When Umi starts a new job at a cafeteria of a all-boys high school that is notorious for troublemakers, Daichi decides to leave his prestigious prep school and enter the all-boys school in order to be able to protect Umi.

My View
Firstly, You maybe wondering what's this drama got to do with Mother's Day right? The reason why I select this drama to present it as a drama to represent Mother's Day is because of the nature of this show. The son, Daichi, loves her mother so much that he will do anything to protect his mother from harm.(Not Incest, just pure love for his mother) This is the good show, in my opinion, to represent it or to dedicate it on the Mother's Day itself as this show also emphasis the hardship of a single parent on how the mother raise her kid in a very difficult environment without remarrying.
Which is why I would like to also recommend this drama to those who have yet to watch it. Those who watched it, well, if you like to, then watch it again hahaha. Overall, this drama is quite nice and sometimes funny and interesting. One of the nicest Japanese drama.

Liar Game

Synopsis
Kanzaki Nao is an honest college student who receives a hundred million yen one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million yen in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo.

She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help.

My View
A very interesting concept of how society works, where nobody really trust each other. Kanzaki Nao, a honest college student, try to break this curse by gathering all the participants to gain trust with one another so that they can get out of this game without paying any money.

However, there are times, things did not go according to her way, as people are selfish. Thus, Akiyama present makes this entire Liar Game tournament even exciting by using psychology to outwit his opponent.

Yukan Club Opening

One liter of tears

Plot
This drama is based on the real-life struggles of a 15-year-old girl named Aya who suffered from an incurable disease, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25. The script is based on the diary Aya kept writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed, entitled, One Litre of Tears has sold over 1.1 million copies in Japan alone.

Fifteen-year-old Ikeuchi Aya was just a normal girl, soon to be high school student and daughter of a family who works at a shop that makes tofu. As time passed, unusual things started happening to Aya. She began falling down often and walking in a strange way. Her mother Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration - a rare disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind.

My View
To tell you the truth, at first when I saw this drama (without watching, just base on the pictures and the title itself), I didn't want to give it a try, only until when I heard from my friends saying that this drama is really worth watching!

After watching this drama, I really cried especially at the last few episode when Aya was struggling with her illness, staying strong in front of her friends and family. I was really really touched!!!!

This drama is really worth watching and is really a tear jerking drama!!! So give it a try, no wait don't try, just watch! hahaha

My Number one Drama!

Playful Kiss

Four different version of playful kiss (base on order top left to bottom right) Korean version, Anime Version, Taiwan Version and Japan Version.

Basic Plot
In the romantic comedy story, a high school girl named Kotoko finally tells a fellow senior named Naoki that she has loved him from afar since she saw him on their first day of high school. However, Naoki, a hottie "super-ikemen" (handsome male) who is smart and good at sports, rejects her offhand. Fate intervenes when a mild earthquake ruins Kotoko's family house. While the house gets rebuilt, Kotoko and her dad stay at the home of her dad's childhood friend...whose son is Naoki. Naoki eventually falls for Kotoko and started to have romantic, protective feelings for her.

The plot are almost all the same for all version. Taiwan version has the most complete episode as compared to other version.

Rich Man, Poor Woman

File:Richman,poorwoman.jpg

Oguri Shun plays Hyuga Toru, an affluent man whose personality is on the contrary, speckled with flaws. A CEO of an IT firm who is published on Forbes as a billionaire, Toru attained his fortune through chance and pure luck. A woman who meets Toru and eventually becomes attracted to him is Sawaki Chihiro, played by Ishihara Satomi. Chihiro is a hardworking college student at Tokyo University who has prepared for her future as much as she possibly could through studies and obtaining licenses. Despite her efforts, she has yet to land a job. Upon meeting Toru, she begins to unravel a genuine pureness inside him and solitude resulting from such pureness, which eventually draws her closer to him. The two repeatedly conflict each other, but little by little learn about one another to grow and develop together.

Despite the worldwide recession and financial difficulties, there are people like Mark Zuckerberg who began work from merely an apartment room or a garage that end up growing to be companies generating over ten billion dollars revenues after merely 10 years or so, embracing their new found wealth by living the dream life. Whether it's a game or application software, Ecommerce, or other IT related firm, there are more than a few who rose in fame to such status in recent years. On the other hand, Japan's unemployment rate for new grads dropped to a record low and those who want to work are unable to, or their wishes to work at their company of choice is not granted.

A Cinderella story of the real world. Will the two be able to compromise their values and lifestyles to become a happy couple?

My View: I always prefer Japanese drama over others mainly because on how the way they act and they always keep it short rather than draggy. This drama is really interesting where it shows how the rich man Hyuga start his own start up and till now it's worth billions of yen. He is just 29 years old and together with the poor woman, Chihiro, the two of them will come together after Hyuga met a huge crsis. So what will happen to this 2, I don't know, have to watch.

Secret Garden

Plot: The drama tells the story of Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji-won), a poor and humble stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses, and Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), an arrogant and eccentric CEO who maintains the image of seeming perfection. Their accidental meeting, when Joo Won mistakes Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin, marks the beginning of a tense, bickering relationship, through which Joo Won tries to hide a growing attraction to Ra Im that both confuses and disturbs him. To complicate matters further, a strange sequence of events results in them swapping bodies.

My Views: This is another interesting drama that have watch. The funny, the romance and the warmth of this drama really bring out the show very well. I personally like the body exchange part because all those funny actions and expression can be seen during that point of drama. On top of that, the body exchange part really brings the 2 main lead together as they get to know more about each other well. The final part of why I like this drama is because of the overall ending which you will never expect. Well want to know how the ending is like and how their relationship is more than just what you have seen? Watch this drama, I assure you that you won't regret it!

City Hunter

File:City-hunter-poster-2.jpg
Plot: In 1983, the South Korean president and his delegates are visiting Burma when a bomb planted by North Korean agents explodes, killing some high-ranking officials. This historical event is called the Rangoon bombing (also known as the Rangoon incident). To strike back, a group of five South Korean officials plan a covert operation to enter North Korea and kill several top members of the North's high command, codenamed "Clean Sweep." Lee Jin-pyo and Park Moo-yul, two Presidential Security Service bodyguards and best friends who were present at the bombing, organize a 21-man team for the mission. However, as the team wreaks havoc in Pyongyang, the officials abort the plan to avoid an international crisis if the mission is discovered. Their major concern is that the United States will withdraw its nuclear protection if the mission is made public, in light of Seoul's official declaration that it will not retaliate.

The operation is successful, but as the troops swim out from Nampo to an ROK Navy submarine assigned for their extraction, snipers from the submarine open fire on them. An already injured Park sacrifices his life to save Lee. Lee swims back to shore and returns to South Korea, where he finds out that the assault team's service and personal records have been erased.

Vowing to avenge his fallen comrades, Lee kidnaps Moo-yul's infant son. He flees to the Golden Triangle to raise the child as his own and trains the boy intensively in combat. Following an attack on a village they are living in, Jin-pyo confesses his long-term plan for revenge to the child, Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min-ho).

Seven years later, after successfully finishing his college years and attaining a doctorate in the United States at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yoon-sung returns to South Korea to fulfill his step-father's plan for revenge. He enters the Blue House as an IT expert under the National Communication Network Team. He is warned by Jin-pyo not to trust anyone and never fall in love, as doing so will put the people around him in danger.

While working at the Blue House, the plot takes off after Lee meets bodyguard Kim Na-na. Eventually Kim helps him to take revenge, as they discover that they have the same goal in mind. Problems occur as Jin-pyo's revenge plot unfolds, especially when Lee defies his surrogate father at several occasions as they try to identify and kill the officials, known as the "Council of Five."

My View: Quite alright, the actress quite pretty and Lee Min Ho did protray the character quite well. Overall the show is quite interesting. Should watch :)

Rookie Diary

Synopsis: During the 36 days of basic training, Second Lieutenant Sun An Bang is going to transform a group of rookies from oddball civilians to disciplined soldiers. There is a total of 43 episodes for the Taiwan Drama series.

My Views:  This drama is really funny and interesting as it's shows how recruit live is during their first 3 months of their army training. Although in real life not all recruits act like them but undoubtedly some of the man or woman somewhere who have served the army should know that this kind of recruit or scenario happened during their days in army.

I like how they portray the soldiers in the way that some of them are a bit "blur" in their head, which means a bit confuse, some of them are physically good and arrogant and some of them are like trying their best to skip training. It's really a funny show and those who served the army, Asian especially, should watch it!

Synopsis : On one day after Cha Dae Woong ran away from his grandfather, he accidently freed a nine-tailed fox who was closed in a painting for about 500 years. He didn't realize what he has done, until the Gumiho (nine-tailed fox),who took the form of a beautiful woman, appeared in front of him.

In return, she allowed him to use her bead for him to shoot for his dream action movie despite his body's severe condition. As time goes by, their mutual relationship grew deeper as they start to fall for each other.

This drama is really funny and touching, imagine yourself dating with a nine tailed fox, hmmm interesting isn't it and at the same time, scary isn't it. But such a beautiful nine tailed-fox, who will hate her, except the fact that she ate too much! LOL!

Well those who haven't watch this drama, watch it! I can assure you that this drama won't disappoint you :)

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho OST - Fox Rain

Dragon Zakura

Plot: "Kenji Sakuragi is a poor lawyer and ex-motorcycle gang member looking for an opportunity to boost his career. His chance finally comes with the nearly bankrupt and notorious Ryuuzan High School, universally referred to as "baka gakkou" (stupid school). There, he sets up a special class that aims to prepare five students to pass the entrance exam of University of Tokyo, which is the finest university in Japan."

This is one of a best drama that I ever watched. The reason is because I go through the same thing as those student in this drama. I was a lousy student during my secondary school where I was the bottom 5% from my cohort (Base on academic result). My attitude towards studies was exactly the same as those student in this drama. I don't care about homework, do only the things that I like and etc.

However, during secondary 3, which is around 15 years old, I realize that I need to pull myself together and mustn't afford to rot my future any further. My teacher, Mrs Peter, gave me encouragement during my studies and I manage to pass my O level and proceed to Polytechnic. From there I continue to strive harder and got myself a place in National University of Singapore (NUS).

This drama shows that students are not dumb as what the society has label them, is just that they lack of motivation and the motivation to strive hard lies within themselves. Sakuragi sensei (teacher) brings in the best teacher that he had ever met and taught the 6 students during their final year in high school.

So the ending? Have to see it yourself! Whether Sakuragi sensei successfully fulfill is promise of sending 5 students to Todai, or failed to do so? Watch the show to know.
